On Hole Cleaning Evaluation Method in Highly Deviated / Horizontal Well Sections

Abstract To solve the problem of hole cleaning quantitative evaluation in highly deviated / horizontal well sections, experiments are made on experimental system influence laws annulus return speed, pipe drill tool eccentricity, deviation angle, drilling fluid density and viscosity, cuttings size other parameters bed thickness studied, calculation models steady-state dimensionless established, error is controlled within ±5%, which provides an accurate method for hydraulic parameter optimization design.
